Are you ready to share with family and friends what we do every day at Joint Base San Antonio to defend our freedom around the globe? If so, make plans to attend the JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Open House, noon to 10 p.m., April 22.

The day will kick off with an opening ceremony and U.S. Army cannon volley at noon, followed by museum tours, military demonstrations, and a wide variety of activities for families, including a petting zoo, pony rides, local vendors, and much more.

The 323rd Army Band “Fort Sam’s Own” and the U.S. Air Force’s Band of the West will play a wide variety of music throughout the day, and the evening will conclude with a concert opened by veteran singer-songwriter Joey Anderson, followed by headliner country-blues-rocker Frankie Ballard.

Watch for the latest information on the open house on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/JointBaseSanAntonio/.  This event is free to attend and open to the public.
